Salary cut warned if ‘biometrics’ ignored

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: From today, the Ministry of Education (MoE) is implementing on an experimental basis a mechanism for flexible school hours across all types of schools, including general education, Arab private, religious education, and special education institutions, reports Al-Rai daily. Under this new system, kindergartens and special education schools will operate for 5 hours per day, while other stages will have a 6-hour schedule, inclusive of a 45-minute grace period. Additionally, the Ministry has announced the mandatory implementation of fingerprint registration for all employees, including teachers and administrators. According to sources, failure to comply with this requirement within a week will result in the suspension of salary without prior notice.
