KUWAIT CITY, April 14: The salaries of April for government employees will be on schedule, indicating that the transfer of money in the employees’ personal accounts in the banks will start on the 22nd of this month, and that all employees of ministries will get their salaries by April 29, reports Al-Anba daily quoting senior government sources.

The same sources said there was no reason for the early transfer of salaries as the Ramadan is expected to begin on May 6. In a related context, other sources said that the Civil Service Commission has not approved the new financial cadres, so far, neither received instructions to approve new cadres of some groups working in the government such as nursing or supporting educational functions or imams of mosques.

In response to a question on the position of the strategic alternative to the adjustment of salaries, which aims to achieve justice and equality for those with specializations, which did not have any financial cadres, the sources replied that almost all of the specialists had financial advantages. The government had referred the strategic salary alternative by decree to the National Assembly in 2015.

The sources also considered the need to study the decisions issued by the Council of Ministers, which some government agencies do not comply with. Sources said it is of utmost importance to study this issue to find out if there are obstacles preventing some institutions or ministries from implementing a decision issued by the Council of Ministers.

The sources pointed out this step will either oblige the party to implement or modify the decision. The same sources called on the government to redouble its efforts to make good its promise to compensate the people affected by the last year’s rain. The sources said the citizens are expecting money to be disbursed before the Eid Al-Fitr holidays
