ISTANBUL, Aug 9: Trabzonspor has turned to Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah in a new promotional video highlighting the culture, traditions and cuisine of the Turkish city, while celebrating his arrival at the club.

In the video posted on its official social media accounts, Salah visits a Turkish family home and receives a warm welcome before sitting down to enjoy a selection of traditional dishes associated with Trabzon, located on the Black Sea coast.

Trabzonspor accompanied the video with the message: “To those who said, ‘You’ll only see him in your dreams’ ... at Trabzonspor, dreams come true.” The clip showed Salah in a relaxed family atmosphere as the club showcased the city’s hospitality and traditions.

The video forms part of Trabzonspor’s efforts to capitalize on Salah’s huge international following to promote the club and the city. The Egyptian captain’s move to the Turkish side has attracted significant attention both domestically and internationally.

Salah arrived in Turkey on Wednesday to a huge reception from supporters in Istanbul before making his first appearance at Trabzonspor’s stadium, where he was welcomed by a large crowd.

Trabzonspor confirmed that Salah joined the club on a two-year deal as a free agent. Media reports indicate that the Egyptian forward will earn €17 million per season.
