PARIS, July 26: French newspaper L’Équipe has highlighted several high-profile players currently without clubs as of July 25, with the new season just weeks away and several teams already beginning their European qualifying campaigns, including Benfica and Ajax.

The report stated that the free-agent market features several attractive names, including proven stars, experienced players, and potential bargain signings with strong backgrounds in European football.

Former Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović is considered one of the most appealing attacking options available without a club. The Serbian forward, who recently turned 26, scored 68 goals in 168 appearances during his time with the Italian giants.

The list also includes Mohamed Salah, 34, who remains without a club following his departure from Liverpool, where he played since joining the Premier League side in 2017. The Egyptian star’s next move has yet to be announced, while his agent has played down reports linking him with a transfer to Turkish club Beşiktaş.

Jadon Sancho and John Stones are also among the notable names on the list after difficult seasons. Sancho spent the previous campaign on loan at Aston Villa, scoring just one goal in 29 appearances, while Stones struggled for regular playing time at Manchester City due to repeated injuries.

Meanwhile, Austrian defender David Alaba, 34, is seeking a new challenge after five seasons at Real Madrid. The experienced defender boasts an impressive résumé, including four Champions League titles, although his recent international involvement has been affected by injury problems.
