NAGOYA, Sept 13: The Kuwait national handball team is putting the final touches to its preparations at a training camp in Japan ahead of the Asian Games, which get underway on Sept. 19 in Nagoya.

Kuwait is in Group B with Bahrain, South Korea, Iran, and Kazakhstan in what national teams director Faisal Saiwan described as a demanding group featuring closely matched sides.

Saiwan said the team is working hard to reach peak readiness and produce a performance that reflects the reputation of Kuwaiti handball. He added that all five teams have the quality to compete for positive results, making every game a tough test.

He said the preparation program had progressed as planned, with domestic and overseas camps complemented by a series of warm-up matches against teams employing different tactical and technical styles. The matches provided valuable preparation for the players physically, technically, and mentally.

Saiwan also praised the administrative and coaching staff for creating the right conditions throughout the buildup and helping the players reach the highest possible level of readiness.

He stressed that the players are fully aware of their responsibility and are determined to give their best while representing Kuwait at the Asian Games.
