KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: Kuwait’s government Sahel application has won the Best Service Application award at the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Public Relations and Customer Service, organized by the Kuwait Public Relations Association, highlighting the success of Kuwait’s national approach in developing digital government services.
Colonel Bashar Hashem, head of Sahel’s executive committee, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Tuesday that the award confirms “our success in moving from providing isolated services to building integrated experiences that prioritize the user.” He added that the recognition reflects the high level of coordination among government entities and a commitment to providing secure, reliable, and high-quality digital services that meet the needs of citizens and residents.
Hashem noted that Sahel has achieved an advanced position as a unified digital government platform, contributing to simplifying procedures, increasing government service efficiency, and enhancing user experience through integration among entities.
Yousef Kazem, official spokesperson for the application, said in a statement to KUNA that the award extends Sahel’s record of achievements, following several local and Arab awards in government excellence and user experience. He said the recognition reflects the confidence of both regional and local institutions in Kuwait’s digital government model.
Kazem emphasized the team’s commitment to continuously developing the application and improving its services based on user feedback, further boosting government efficiency. He added that this achievement underscores Sahel’s role as one of the leading digital government platforms in Kuwait and the region.
The International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Public Relations and Customer Service, held under the theme “Innovation… Communication… Future”, was organized under the patronage of the Minister of Information and Culture and the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi. The conference highlighted the potential of artificial intelligence in improving communication, institutional engagement, and decision-making. It also served as a platform for sharing expertise, showcasing successful experiences, and honing professional skills in related fields.
The event concluded with the honoring of winners of the fifth Kuwait Public Relations and Customer Service Award, where Sahel received top recognition for its digital service excellence.
