Sahel App Adds Sponsorship Transfer Service for Domestic Workers and Drivers

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 11: The Ministry of Interior has launched a new electronic service through the Sahel app, enabling eligible citizens to transfer the sponsorship of domestic workers and drivers online.

The new service streamlines procedures by allowing sponsorship transfers to be completed electronically without the need for in-person visits, as part of the government's ongoing digital transformation efforts.

Under the service, sponsorship transfers are available according to the following categories:

Single male: One driver only.
Single female: One driver and one domestic worker.
Married, divorced, or widowed citizens: One driver and up to three domestic workers.
Female with children: One driver and one domestic worker.

The Ministry of Interior said the service is now accessible through the Sahel application, providing a faster and more convenient way for citizens to complete sponsorship-related transactions.
