RIYADH Oct 26: Ali Hussein Rustom, a prominent member of Kuwait's national saber fencing team, has claimed the silver medal at the World Combat Games. These games are currently taking place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, from October 20 to 30, and feature the participation of over 1,500 male and female athletes.
Riyadh’s Sports Arena at King Saud University is hosting this monumental sporting event for the very first time in the Middle East. This particular edition is notable for being the largest in the history of the tournament, which has continued without interruption for a decade. The previous two editions took place in Beijing, China, and St. Petersburg, Russia, respectively.
The 16 combat games in this edition have attracted over 1,500 elite athletes representing more than 120 countries from around the globe.
