Rafis Khuzin and Olga Blinova. Rafis confessed to police that he killed his wife after she refused to cook him chicken soup

MOSCOW, Oct 28: A gruesome crime in Russia has left authorities and locals horrified after a 56-year-old man allegedly killed and partially skinned his wife following a domestic dispute over a seemingly trivial request.

Rafis Khuzin was detained after confessing to police that he stabbed his wife, 49-year-old Olga Blinova, to death with a large kitchen knife on October 17 in the city of Berezovsky. According to investigators, Khuzin attempted to dismember her body. He managed to skin the upper part of the corpse before hiding it in the garden of their home—a horrifying detail that has shocked even seasoned detectives.

Local media reports indicate the deadly altercation was triggered by a domestic argument: Khuzin had asked his wife to prepare chicken for soup, and her refusal allegedly set off his violent rampage. Five days after the killing, he confessed to law enforcement, prompting authorities to open a murder investigation.

Valery Gorelykh, a police spokesperson, commented on the grisly discovery: “Even detectives who have seen numerous horrifying scenes over their careers were shaken by what they found at the scene. It is truly one of the most disturbing cases we have encountered.”

The Russian tragedy mirrors another shocking domestic murder in London. On October 18, emergency services responded to a stabbing at a residential property in Hornchurch, East London, where 40-year-old Agne Druskienea was found fatally injured. Paramedics worked frantically to save her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her husband, 43-year-old Augustinas Druskis, was arrested immediately and charged with her murder. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service confirmed: “Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service called officers to a stabbing at a residential property in Cranham Road, Hornchurch, at 01:04hrs on Saturday, 18 October. Despite the best efforts of emergency workers, Agne was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. The man – who was married to the victim – was arrested at the scene.”

These shocking cases underscore a chilling reality: domestic disputes can escalate with terrifying consequences. Authorities in both Russia and London are investigating the circumstances surrounding the killings, as communities reel from the horror of violence erupting behind closed doors.
