MOSCOW, Apr 14: The Kremlin has reaffirmed that its proposal to accept Iran’s enriched uranium as part of a potential agreement with the United States remains on the table, signaling continued Russian involvement in efforts to ease tensions.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the offer was originally put forward by Vladimir Putin during discussions with both Washington and regional stakeholders.

“The offer still stands, but it has not been acted upon,” Peskov said, according to RIA Novosti.

The proposal is seen as a possible confidence-building measure in negotiations aimed at resolving disputes over Iran’s nuclear program, particularly concerns around uranium enrichment.

Peskov added that Russia remains ready to support diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the crisis surrounding Iran, as international talks continue over a broader agreement.
