Russia Declines Comment on Report Linking Russia to Iran Drone Attacks on CIA Facilities

MOSCOW, Jul 23: The Kremlin on Thursday declined to comment on reports that US intelligence analysts are examining whether Russia may have assisted Iran in drone attacks targeting CIA facilities in the Persian Gulf.

The response followed a Reuters report citing four people familiar with US intelligence, who said analysts were investigating possible Russian involvement but had not reached any firm conclusions.

According to the report, officials pointed to the effectiveness and apparent precision of the drone strikes, as well as Russia’s broader technical support for Iran, as factors being examined during the assessment.

The Kremlin did not provide further comment on the allegations.
