KUWAIT CITY, Jun 27: A deadly stabbing in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh was solved in less than an hour after detectives arrested the suspect and recovered the knife allegedly used in the attack, according to security sources.

The victim, an Asian expatriate in his 40s, was found dead inside a residence late Friday evening after suffering multiple stab wounds during a violent confrontation. The suspect, who is reportedly of the same nationality as the victim, was arrested shortly after the crime was reported.

During initial questioning, the suspect allegedly confessed to the stabbing, claiming that a financial dispute between the two men had escalated into the deadly attack. The Deputy Public Prosecutor ordered his detention pending further investigation and charged him with premeditated murder.

The incident unfolded after the Ministry of Interior received an emergency report about a fight inside a house in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. Security teams rushed to the location and discovered the victim’s body.

A roommate of the deceased told investigators that another expatriate had attacked them, stabbing his roommate and attempting to harm him as well. He said he narrowly escaped the assault.

The Deputy Public Prosecutor was immediately informed and visited the scene along with officers from Jleeb police station to oversee the investigation. The victim’s body was later transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department for examination.

Meanwhile, criminal investigators launched an intensive search for the suspect, which quickly led to his arrest and the recovery of the alleged murder weapon.
