KUWAIT CITY, Dec 1: Jahra investigators have launched a formal probe into the death of a domestic worker who reportedly leapt from the roof of her employers’ residence in the Qairawan area, falling into the courtyard of a neighbouring home. Although the incident initially appeared to be a suicide, the Deputy Public Prosecutor has directed that the case be registered as a suspected homicide pending further investigation.

According to a security source, the Ministry of Interior received an emergency report stating that a woman had fallen from a significant height into a nearby house. Police patrols and medical responders rushed to the scene, where they discovered that the worker had succumbed to critical injuries sustained upon impact.

Authorities transferred the body to the forensic department to determine the exact cause of death. Meanwhile, investigators began gathering witness statements, reviewing evidence, and examining the location of the incident to establish the circumstances surrounding the fall and to ensure that all legal procedures are completed thoroughly.
