KUWAIT CITY, July 24: A 36-year-old Kuwaiti citizen employed in the Ministry of Defense, recounted his experience of being defrauded: "Although the agreement was that the 'watch' would arrive in just two weeks, I waited for nine months. After discovering that I had been defrauded, I filed a case to recover my rights through the law."

The complainant explained that a person, whom he knew only by name and phone number, deceived him into purchasing a new Rolex "Daytona" watch, model 2023, with a promised delivery time of two weeks. He paid the defendant 5,800 dinars via a bank transfer to a national bank on September 3, 2023. After waiting for the entire period with no delivery, it became clear to him that he had been defrauded. The victim provided evidence including a copy of the bank transfer and a WhatsApp conversation (a written conversation) with the defendant, confirming his claims. A case was registered, and the file was referred to investigations to arrest the defendant and confront him with the victim's allegations.
