KUWAIT CITY, Sept. 14: Al-Qurain has renewed the contract of American professional Elijah Robinson for another season as the basketball team prepares for the resumption of last season’s competitions and the start of the new campaign.

Last season’s competitions are scheduled to resume at the end of October after being suspended in February due to the security situation in the region, with Al-Qurain set to compete in the semifinals.

Robinson is one of the most experienced foreign players in Kuwait’s domestic basketball scene. He previously played for Kazma and is now set to begin his ninth consecutive season in Kuwait.

The American has also featured in leagues in China, Argentina and Romania, as well as clubs in the Middle East, including Bahrain’s Manama, UAE’s Al-Wasl and Iraq’s Dijlah.

His contract extension is part of Al-Qurain’s efforts to maintain squad stability and strengthen the team ahead of its upcoming commitments.

The club has also finalized the team’s administrative and technical structure, with Abdulkarim Al-Shahoumi serving as basketball director, Abdullah Al-Mutawa as assistant director, and Jaber Al-Roudhan as team administrator.

Yahya Kulaib will continue to lead the technical staff, assisted by Egyptian coach Mohamed Ismail.
