KUWAIT CITY, March 31: The Ministry of Works (MPW) is actively addressing citizens’ complaints regarding road conditions by conducting repairs and maintenance work across various regions. Teams from the Ministry inspect the reported roads and carry out necessary repair work in response to these complaints, reports Al-Jarida daily. According to sources within the Ministry, repair work was recently undertaken in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area, specifically focusing on the entrance leading to the area from the 6.5 Ring Road.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve road conditions in different governorates of the country. The Ministry highlighted that while major maintenance work on highways and internal roads is pending regulatory procedures, the current focus is on immediate repairs. This involves removing worn-out asphalt to address issues like potholes, cracks, and overall road deterioration. The repair work adheres to the standards and specifications set by the Ministry of Works. Furthermore, the Ministry plans to initiate more extensive maintenance projects once the regulatory procedures are completed. These projects will be announced through the Official Gazette, and contracts will be signed for maintenance in various regions and roads as part of the comprehensive road repair plan. Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan, the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, has instructed the Ministry to promptly respond to citizens’ complaints regarding road conditions. This proactive approach demonstrates the Ministry’s commitment to addressing the needs and concerns of the community related to road infrastructure.
