Road Collision on Al-Mutlaa Highway Escalates Into Alleged Machete Attack

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29: A traffic collision on Al-Mutlaa Road escalated into an alleged assault with a machete, prompting the Deputy Attorney General to refer all parties involved to the Jahra Criminal Investigation Department for investigation.

According to a security source, a non-Kuwaiti man born in 1992 reported that he was driving a red 2007 GMC when a collision occurred at kilometer 5 on Al-Mutlaa Road.

The complainant alleged that the incident escalated after the collision, accusing two non-Kuwaiti youths, born in 1998 and 2002, of assaulting him with a bladed weapon identified as a machete.

The two accused were reportedly travelling in a silver 2013 GMC.

Acting on the instructions of the Deputy Attorney General, the parties involved were referred to the Jahra Criminal Investigation Department to establish the circumstances of the incident and determine responsibility.

A case was registered, and the necessary legal procedures are under way.

Authorities are investigating the allegations to establish the full sequence of events surrounding the collision and the reported assault.
