KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14: The Ministry of Public Works, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic, has announced temporary road closures on the Fifth Ring Road for asphalt maintenance work.
The closures will begin at 10 pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, and continue until 6 am on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
The ministry said the works will require closing the road shoulder, the slow lane, and half of the middle lane on the Fifth Ring Road.
The entrance and exit between the Fifth Ring Road and King Fahd Road (Road 40) will also be closed during maintenance.
In addition, the bridge from King Fahd Road to the Fifth Ring Road toward Salmiya will be closed.
The slow lane on the Fifth Ring Road, along with the branch road connecting to and from King Fahd Road, will also be closed for the works.
The Ministry of Public Works urged motorists to exercise caution, follow traffic instructions and use alternative routes where possible during the closure period.
Also, the Ministry of Public Works has announced the complete closure of King Fahd Road starting from its intersection with the First Ring Road for a distance of approximately 300 meters to carry out asphalt maintenance works.
The closure will begin at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, and will continue until dawn on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
The ministry urged motorists to exercise caution and follow traffic instructions while the maintenance works are underway.
