KUWAIT CITY, March 25: Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has announced the temporary closure of several major roads and key access points due to heavy rainfall affecting parts of the country, urging motorists to remain cautious and follow official traffic instructions.
According to the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media, King Isa Road on Fahaheel Main Road (from the city towards Fahaheel) has been closed, with traffic diverted to the Sixth Ring Road about Jahra. King Abdulaziz Road (from Fahaheel towards the city) is also closed, with vehicles redirected to Al-Taawon Road towards the Al-Uthaina intersection.
Authorities added that U-turns are prohibited on the Sixth Ring Road about Al-Taawon Street, while Al-Taawon Street itself has been closed for traffic coming from Al-Uthaina towards Al-Maseela. In addition, the roundabout at the entrance to the Al-Qurain Markets area has been shut.
The Ministry called on drivers to adhere strictly to traffic regulations, avoid flooded or closed routes, and follow the guidance of security personnel to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow.
