RIYADH, Sept 21: Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, is set to host the sixth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games from November 7 to 21, 2025. Over 3,000 athletes from 57 member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation are expected to participate, as the city showcases its top sports facilities and modern landmarks to deliver a world-class sporting experience.
The Games will take place across a mix of Olympic stadiums, open fields, and state-of-the-art entertainment venues, offering athletes and spectators a unique combination of high-level competition and spectacular event organization.
Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City stands out as one of Riyadh’s premier sporting venues, renowned for hosting major competitions with its advanced facilities and comprehensive infrastructure. Renovations have prepared the complex to host both regional and international championships. In the 2025 edition, it will host athletics, para-athletics, judo, karate, taekwondo, and jiu-jitsu events, making it a central hub for Olympic sports and martial arts.
An additional integrated sports complex will provide stadiums, indoor arenas, and training facilities, catering to a variety of competitions and reflecting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to modern sports infrastructure. During the Games, this venue will also host futsal, handball, and swimming events, positioning it as a key location for both team and aquatic sports.
Al-Janadriyah Field, famous for its expansive space, will host competitions requiring open grounds. For the first time in the history of the Islamic Solidarity Games, the field will feature equestrian show jumping and camel racing, blending Saudi heritage with an international sporting spectacle.
