RIYADH, Nov 26: The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman, on Tuesday approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kuwait to strengthen cooperation in combating money laundering and terrorism financing.
In a statement following the meeting, Minister of State for Shura Council Affairs and Acting Information Minister Essam bin Saudi said the MoU was signed between the Saudi General Department of Financial Intelligence and the Kuwait Financial Intelligence Unit.
Under the agreement, the two agencies will exchange financial information related to money laundering, predicate offenses, and the financing of terrorism.
The MoU aims to enhance coordination between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in addressing financial crimes and reinforcing regional financial security.
