KUWAIT CITY, May 29: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has asked its interior counterpart to restore the five-year residency permit validity for imams, preachers and muezzins; instead of one year reports Al- Rai daily quoting a reliable source from the Ministry of Awqaf.
The source informed the daily that the previous five-year validity of the above mentioned residency permit was first reduced to two years and then one year during the Corona pandemic. He said the concerned authorities in the Ministry of Awqaf have coordinated with their counterparts in the Interior Ministry to address this issue and ease administrative procedures.
