KUWAIT CITY, March 24: The Ministry of Interior has introduced evening working hours during Ramadan, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, for expats seeking to correct their residence status by visiting residency affairs departments across various governorates.

According to a security source, these departments are facilitating the process for violators to rectify their status by paying fines and addressing administrative or judicial hurdles related to residency laws.

This initiative is geared towards facilitating access for a greater number of individuals seeking to benefit from the amnesty extended to violators, allowing them to amend their status or leave the country by June 17, 2024, if unable to comply with fines or other requirements.
