Residency affairs files reviewed

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4: Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Ali Sabah Al- Salem Al-Sabah stressed on Wednesday the necessity of facilitating the residency affairs sector’s auditors by taking advantage of the technological leap witnessed by the security establishment in providing services to the public while adhering to the laws, rules and regulations governing work.

A statement by the General Department of Relations and Security Media stated that this came during a meeting held by the Minister of Interior, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Lieutenant-General Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, with the Residency Affairs Sector, which included the Assistant Undersecretary for the sector, Major General Anwar Al-Barjas, and the sector’s leaders. The meeting reviewed a number of files related to the residency affairs sector, the most important obstacles facing the sector, the mechanism for solving them, and coordination between the sector and relevant government agencies.

The Minister valued the role played by the sector’s employees in harnessing all capabilities to complete the transactions of citizens and residents with the required speed and accuracy. In conclusion, he commended what was discussed during the meeting and gave some instructions and directions that help in the accuracy and completion of the work as soon as possible. (KUNA)
