Residence violators given time to amend status till 15th May

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 15: The Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Al Ali issued a Ministerial decision No. 211 of 2021 to extend the period to amend the status of residence violators for expats.  This decision comes with an aim of giving expats more time who have illegally overstayed and not renewed their residence to amend their status before the new deadline.

The period of amending the status of residence violators is extended from 15th April to 15th May 2021. Whoever violates the residence law and does not amend the status will be punished by penalties and will not be granted residence permit and will be deported from the country and will not be able to return again.

The Ministry of Interior calls upon residence violators to take advantage of this opportunity without fail and amend their residence status to avoid legal consequences before the deadline expires. (KUNA)
