NEW DELHI, Chennai, Dec 5: Bollywood icon Aamir Khan, renowned for his recent venture 'Laal Singh Chaddha,' found himself stranded amid the Chennai floods caused by Cyclone Michaung near Bapatla on the Andhra Pradesh coast. Fortunately, the actor's predicament lasted only 24 hours before he was successfully rescued.

Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal, known for his roles in 'Ratsasan,' 'Maaveeran Kittu,' and 'Jeeva,' took to his social media platform, formerly Twitter, to share images of the rescue operation featuring the Bollywood superstar. The posted pictures depict Vishnu and Aamir on a boat with rescue department personnel in the vicinity.

Expressing gratitude, Vishnu wrote, “Thanks to the fire and rescue department for assisting people like us stranded in Karapakkam. Rescue operations have commenced, with three boats already in action. Kudos to the Tamil Nadu government for their commendable efforts during these challenging times. Appreciation extends to all administrative personnel tirelessly working on this.”

Earlier, Vishnu had shared his harrowing experience as he struggled to establish a phone signal from his terrace. In a tweet, he mentioned, “Water is entering my house, and the level is rising rapidly in Karapakkam. I have sought help. No electricity, no wifi, no phone signal—only on the terrace at a specific point do I get some signal. Let’s hope for assistance for myself and many others here. I empathize with everyone across Chennai. #staystrong (sic).”

Aamir Khan's presence in Chennai was temporary, driven by the responsibility of caring for his mother during her ongoing treatment. Despite the challenges posed by the floods, the timely rescue has ensured the well-being of both Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal.
