Hamza Al-Khayat

KUWAIT CITY, May 21: The educational community mourns the loss of esteemed teacher and linguistic researcher Hamza Al-Khayat, who passed away today. Al-Khayat, renowned for his significant contributions to the Arabic language and education in Kuwait and the Middle East, leaves behind a remarkable legacy.

Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, and the entire educational family, expressed deep sorrow over Al-Khayat's passing. Al-Khayat was a pivotal figure in Arabic linguistics, known for authoring the famous Spelling Encyclopedia and numerous influential works on learning and other linguistic topics. He also served as the director of the Center for Linguistic Creativity.

Dr. Al-Adwani and the educational community extended heartfelt condolences to Al-Khayat's family, acknowledging his long and distinguished career marked by dedication, innovation, and development in the academic field. Al-Adwani highlighted Al-Khayat's sincere and tireless efforts throughout his years of service, praying for God's mercy and forgiveness for the deceased and that he may be granted paradise.
