KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9: The Ministry of Information mourned the loss of the esteemed artist Mohammed Al-Munaie, who passed away Friday evening after a distinguished artistic and humanitarian career spanning over six decades. Al-Munaie was celebrated for his significant contributions to art and culture in Kuwait and the Gulf region.

In an official statement released Friday night, the Ministry conveyed the condolences of Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, along with all ministry employees, to the family of the late artist. The statement highlighted Al-Munaie’s vital role in enriching the Kuwaiti and Gulf art scenes, recognizing him as one of the early pioneers of the region’s cultural movement.

Al-Munaie began his artistic journey by joining the Popular Theater Troupe and later played a key role in establishing the Kuwaiti Theater Troupe. Throughout his career, he appeared in numerous theatrical and television productions that thoughtfully addressed societal issues with sincerity and distinction.
