LOS ANGELES, Jan 2: A year after his life-threatening snowplow accident, Jeremy Renner expressed profound gratitude to those who aided him during the incident. In an Instagram post, the two-time Academy Award-nominated actor shared a photo inside a RennerVation Foundation firetruck, recounting his visit to Reno Hospital in Nevada where he received treatment last year.
“Rollin through Reno, NV with joy, blessings, and 🍕!!!!” he captioned the post. “Stopped by to see kids/superheroes, first responders, and doctors, nurses, and staff at Reno hospital. Paying my respects and celebrating love, life, and the blessings it brings to us all. Thank you and this community for keeping me here… I’m forever in your debt with gratitude #loveandtitanium,” he added.
Renner faced “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” when his unmanned snowcat, a 7-ton snow plow, ran over him on Jan. 1, 2022, in Reno, Nevada. After emergency surgery on Jan. 2, he shared that he broke more than 30 bones during the mishap.
Last month, marking the anniversary of the accident, Renner announced the release of a “new musical diary” called “Wait,” documenting the “story of life, death, recovery, all things learned along the way.”
In an interview aired in April, Renner, featured in “Jeremy Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview — A Story of Terror, Survival, and Triumph,” reflected on his survival, considering himself a “lucky man.” He credited his family for helping him cope with both mental and physical pain, emphasizing the profound love and endurance they shared through the challenging ordeal.
