KUWAIT CITY, Aug 26: The Public Authority for Youth and Sports has concluded its recreational week for people with disabilities, which ran from Sunday through today and attracted more than 70 participants from various disability categories.
The initiative was designed to provide greater attention to people with disabilities, create opportunities to identify and develop their talents, and offer meaningful activities during their free time, particularly throughout the summer break.
Held daily from 5 pm to 7 pm, the program featured a variety of recreational activities, including bowling, trampolining and arcade games, providing participants with an enjoyable and engaging experience.
The authority stressed its commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for people with disabilities, encouraging their participation in society while giving them opportunities to showcase their abilities and creativity.
The authority also recently concluded its Summer Sports Festival for the Blind, held in cooperation with the Kuwait Blind Association from August 16 to 20. The festival brought together 65 participants and featured goalball, table tennis and dominoes, with activities aimed at developing sporting skills and nurturing participants’ talents in a positive competitive atmosphere.
