KUWAIT CITY, Jan 26: The first “Adwan Tribe” Festival for Purebred Arabian Horses concluded successfully at the Sabhan Racecourse, Hunting and Equestrian Club, featuring a record 90+ horses competing under the sponsorship of Dr. Mohammed Nafea Al-Rashdan.
The festival included seven races, with Egyptian, Polish, French, and English categories. Standout horses included Baraq, Hamas, Jah Al-Kawn, Blawi, Wahj Al-Salateen, Al-Jarih, and Neom Al-Ula, excelling across the races from the first to the seventh.
Speaking at the festival, Dr. Al-Rashdan said, “While this festival was organized for the Adwan Tribe, participation was open to all in this inaugural edition, which will now be held annually. Horse riding helps young people develop talent, patience, resilience, and endurance. My son Nafea, who conceived the idea, has loved horses since childhood, and all my children share this passion.”
He added that he will continue to support youth participation in equestrian sports, emphasizing that the event celebrated heritage, tradition, and fair competition, reflecting the true values of horsemanship, long associated with honor and dignity.
