Sheikha Fajr Badr Al-Sabah

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 12: Sheikha Fajr Badr Al-Sabah has announced the completion of all preparations for the upcoming “EQUICIETY” Dressage Championship, set to take place next Friday and Saturday at the Police Sports Club racetrack in Subhan. The event will feature a record number of riders, including both male and female participants.

Sheikha Fajr highlighted the growing popularity of horse dressage, calling it the foundation of equestrian sports. She noted that the 2025-2026 season has already seen a wide range of events and activities promoting dressage, all of which are supported by the Kuwait Equestrian Federation and coordinated with international dressage authorities. Several championships and training camps were held throughout the season to develop the sport in Kuwait further.

She added, “We began promoting horse dressage several years ago and have had the honor of organizing numerous championships across various clubs with the support of Sheikh Sabah Mubarak Al-Sabah. This effort has helped our dream come true and contributed to the growth of dressage in Kuwait. EQUICIETY is committed to hosting an annual, high-level dressage championship, supported by the Kuwait Equestrian Federation and the Police Sports Club. The Kuwait Equestrian Federation officially recognizes the event and will be overseen by international judges.”
