KUWAIT CITY, March 16: The Court of Appeals has obligated a well-known real estate company owned by a former MP to pay a citizen KD100,000 – the value of a chalet, in addition to KD30,000 compensation for the damages he sustained due to a fraudulent transaction.

Attorney Ali Al-Ali, lawyer for the citizen, disclosed that his client signed a usufruct sale contract with the company, which sold him the usufruct for a chalet in a resort in Nuwaiseeb at a price of KD100,000. The plaintiff paid the full amount upon signing the contract based on the fourth clause. Al-Ali revealed the plaintiff was surprised when he found out the chalet is non-existent, and that he had fallen victim to fraud.
