KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: Director General of Kuwait Municipality Eng Ahmad Al-Manfouhi ordered the closure of a real-estate exhibition which was marketing houses for sale in Sabah Al-Ahmad coastal area, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

During an inspection tour, he spotted an exhibition where an apartment within a housing unit in Sabah Al-Ahmad coastal area was put on sale. Since this is in violation of the construction law, he immediately ordered the exhibition to be closed down through Ahmadi Municipality branch under the leadership of Eng Fahad Al-Shatili.

Eng Al-Manfouhi said the administrative closure of the exhibition is uncommon compared to the closure orders of the municipality in the past under the absence of the concerned ministry in terms of control and inspection of violations which fall under the category of ‘commercial fraud’. Eng Al-Manfouhi had previously addressed the concerned ministry regarding the need to take legal actions against violators of laws related to construction and its prevailing regulations.
