KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: The Kuwait Club and the Kuwait Triathlon Association’s General Assembly have once again expressed their confidence in the current board of directors following their election two days ago for the new term spanning 2023-2027. The triathlon elections were held at the Kuwait Olympic Committee headquarters in Hawalli, with the incumbent board members securing victory. Rashed Al-Kandari continues in his role as Chairman of the Board, with Mohammad Haider as Vice Chairman, Saud Al-Kandari as Secretary, Shaimaa Al-Hamdan as Assistant Secretary, Saad Al-Ali as Treasurer, and Talal Qais as Assistant Treasurer.
The presence of Ali Al-Marri, Assistant Secretary of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, and Olympic Committee member Fatma Hayat added prestige to the elections, which were overseen by the electoral committee of both the Kuwait Club and the Kuwait Triathlon Association. In response, Rashed Al-Kandari, President of the Board of Directors of both the Kuwait Club and the Kuwait Triathlon Association, extended his sincere gratitude to the club’s General Assembly for reposing their trust in the board of directors. He affirmed the club’s unwavering commitment to continuing their diligent efforts to build upon previous achievements, elevate the sport, and proudly represent Kuwait on the national and international stages.
Al-Kandari further stated, “Our goal is to elevate the athletes’ capabilities and provide them with comprehensive support.” He also outlined the board of directors’ commitment to advancing and enhancing their previous work plan. Al-Kandari commended the invaluable support received by the club and the Kuwait Triathlon Association from the General Authority for Sports and the Kuwait Olympic Committee, which have significantly contributed to the sport’s development and its impressive track record in past competitions. Additionally, Salman Al-Kandari, a member of the triathlon electoral committee, reported a seamless electoral process for the triathlon club, characterized by its smooth execution and the General Assembly members’ dedication to adhering to regulations and rules.
