KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: The crescent moon marking the beginning of the holy month has been sighted in the State of Kuwait, authorities announced. Accordingly, Ramadan 1447 AH will commence tonight, with Muslims across the country set to begin fasting at dawn tomorrow.
The crescent moon has also been sighted in Saudi Arabia, with authorities declaring Wednesday as the first day of the holy month of Ramadan. Qatar likewise confirmed the sighting, announcing that fasting will begin on Wednesday. In the United Arab Emirates, officials also declared Wednesday as the first day of Ramadan following the confirmed moon sighting.
