Rain water leak at ‘new building; KU campus raises queries

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23: The country recently experienced rainfall and rainwater leaked through the roof of the College of Arts building at Kuwait University in Shadadiya, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources. Despite the modern design of the building, the insulators did not withstand such a light rainfall; prompting employees at the college to put buckets in different places to catch the rainwater leaking from the ceilings.

This also happened in other parts of the university, sources revealed. Sources affirmed the warranty for the affected buildings is still valid, so the leaks will be dealt with under the warranty. Sources said the committee whose members are from several government agencies and tasked to receive the buildings shall bear the responsibility for any defect found in the new buildings.
