Rain, dust, fog to lash Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, March 19: The Meteorological Department has forecast a period of relative weather instability in Kuwait this weekend, with increasing cloud cover, scattered rain, occasional thunderstorms, active winds raising dust, and the possibility of fog reducing horizontal visibility. The acting Director of the department Dhirar Al-Ali told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather forecasts and numerical models indicate the formation of low and medium clouds, interspersed with cumulonimbus clouds.

indicated that periods of active winds may cause scattered rain, occasional thunderstorms, and blowing dust, leading to reduced visibility in some areas. Al-Ali explained that gradual improvement in weather conditions is expected from Friday afternoon. Fog is likely to form Friday evening, reducing horizontal visibility, and may persist until Saturday evening, being light in some areas.
