Radar expansion, new project sites approved

Kuwait's Municipal Council members during the session.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 26: The Technical Committee in the Municipal Council, chaired by Munira Al-Amir, approved the request of the Ministry of Interior to expand the radar network in Khairan, as previously allocated by the Council. The committee also approved the following:

Request of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to allocate a site for Wind Cutting Station 36 RS in the Central Region,
Request of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy to allocate an absorption pit in Abu Kharjin and Subaiha, adjacent to the site of Zour Water Distribution Complex expansion
Proposal of Council member Munira Al- Amir regarding the adoption and activation of an electronic review system for engineering plans in Kuwait Municipality.

On the other hand, the committee rejected the letter of the Insurance Regulatory Unit about the localization of all insurance activities in industrial zones, based on Insurance Law No. 125/2019 and its executive regulations.
