KUWAIT CITY, Dec 8: The quarterfinal lineup for the first-ever West Asia Women’s Volleyball Clubs Championship, organized by Salwa Al-Sabah Club and running until December 13, has been finalized.
11:00 a.m.: Al-Fatah vs. Al-Qalamoun (Lebanon)
1:00 p.m.: Sharjah (UAE) vs. Al-Fayhaa (Saudi Arabia)
3:00 p.m.: Sanharib (Iraq) vs. Al-Ula (Saudi Arabia)
5:00 p.m.: Salwa Al-Sabah Club vs. Al-Nasr (Jordan)
Khaled Al-Kaabi, Vice President of Qatar Club and head of the Qatari delegation, praised the high level of play from West Asian teams throughout the tournament, noting the strong competition from the preliminary round to the present stage. He also commended the outstanding organization and efforts of Club Chairperson Sheikha Naeema Al-Ahmad in ensuring the event’s success.
Emirati commentator Jaafar Al-Fardan highlighted the steady progress of the women’s teams and praised the work of the club’s chairperson and organizing committees. He noted that the championship’s organization, from venue readiness to logistics, has impressed all attendees and reinforced Kuwait and Salwa Al-Sabah Club’s reputation for hosting top-tier tournaments.
Al-Fardan expressed hope that the club will host continental-level tournaments in the future, following the success of this West Asia Championship.
