Qatari-National Marriages in Kuwait Must Obtain Embassy No-Objection Certificate

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: The Legal Authentication Department at the Ministry of Justice has confirmed that the approval of the Qatari Embassy is a condition for documenting the marriage contracts of Qataris in Kuwait, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily obtained a copy of the department’s circular stating that “it is necessary to adhere to the memorandum of the Qatari Embassy on the need to obtain a no-objection certificate from the Qatari Embassy approving the marriage a Qatari to another nationality.” The circular was distributed to observers, heads of marriage departments, heads of family court documentation offices, notaries and marriage officers.
