Qatar Urges Public to Ignore Rumors Amid Regional Tensions

DOHA, Feb 28: Qatar’s Ministry of Interior affirmed on Saturday that the security situation across the country remains stable, with no indications of any internal threat despite recent attacks targeting Iran.

In a statement, the Ministry said that specialized security authorities continue to monitor developments around the clock within a coordinated operational framework, working closely with relevant agencies to safeguard public safety and ensure the uninterrupted functioning of services.

The Ministry urged the public to rely solely on official and accredited sources for information, avoid circulating unverified news or videos, and disregard messages from unidentified sources. It added that any updates will be announced through its official channels.

Earlier on Saturday, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz confirmed that Israel had launched a “preemptive” strike against Iran, while warning sirens were heard in the occupied territories amid concerns of retaliatory attacks involving missiles and drones.
