DOHA, March 4: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made the claim during a phone call on Wednesday, according to official sources.
Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani categorically rejected the allegation, a Foreign Ministry readout said. He stressed that recent attacks had also struck residential neighborhoods and vital infrastructure, including areas near the country’s main airport and key liquefied natural gas facilities.
The exchange marks the first publicly disclosed contact between Tehran and Doha since hostilities erupted over the weekend.
