Qatar Says Two Missiles Intercepted, Oil Tanker Hit in Iranian Attack

DOHA, Apr 1: The Qatar Ministry of Defense said the country was targeted on Wednesday by three cruise missiles launched from Iran, with air defenses intercepting two of them.

According to the ministry, the third missile struck an oil tanker leased to QatarEnergy in Qatar’s territorial waters.

Authorities said emergency procedures were immediately activated, and coordination with relevant agencies ensured the safe evacuation of all 21 crew members aboard the tanker. No casualties were reported.
