DOHA, Jun 7: The Civil Aviation Authority of the State of Qatar has denied reports circulating on social media claiming that Qatari airspace has been closed or that flights have been suspended.
In a statement issued from Doha on June 7, 2026, the authority said the claims were untrue and clarified that the current Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) in effect is aimed at designating alternative air routes to ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of air navigation services under prevailing circumstances.
The authority emphasized that all aviation procedures are being conducted in line with approved international standards and practices. It urged the public to rely only on official sources for information and to avoid sharing or circulating unverified reports or rumors.
The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and increased public attention on aviation safety and airspace management in the Gulf region.
