Qatar Issues Safety Guidelines as Schools Resume In-Person Classes

DOHA, Mar 23: Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has urged strict adherence to safety protocols following the decision by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to gradually resume in-person classes across educational institutions.

In a press release, the ministry emphasized the importance of complying with preventive measures to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and administrative staff, particularly amid ongoing emergency considerations. It called on schools to follow approved procedures for evacuation or sheltering, depending on the situation, and to adhere to the guidance of designated safety officials.

Authorities also stressed the need to enhance preparedness within educational facilities by ensuring the readiness of emergency exits, evacuation routes, and assembly points, while increasing awareness among students about safety instructions.

The ministry urged the public to review the official safety guidelines manual and follow its instructions to help maintain a secure learning environment, providing dedicated contact numbers for further inquiries.
