DOHA, March 11: The Qatar Ministry of Defense announced that the country came under a ballistic missile and drone attack from the Islamic Republic of Iran on Wednesday. According to the ministry, Iranian forces launched nine ballistic missiles and several drones toward Qatari territory. Qatar’s armed forces successfully intercepted all incoming drones and intercepted eight of the missiles, with one ballistic missile falling in an uninhabited area and causing no reported casualties or damage.
The defense statement underscored the readiness and effectiveness of Qatar’s air defenses amid ongoing regional tensions that have seen multiple Gulf states targeted with missile and drone barrages
