Doha, Feb 28: A senior official at Qatar’s Ministry of Defense stated that an Iranian missile had been intercepted by the Patriot defense system, according to reports from Qatari media. Agence France-Presse also reported that sirens were heard near the Al Udeid U.S. airbase earlier on Saturday.
The Qatari Ministry of Interior reaffirmed that the security situation across the country remains stable, emphasizing that there are no signs of concern regarding internal safety despite the ongoing attacks on Iran. In a statement posted on its official X account, the Ministry urged the public to rely only on verified information from official sources, disregard rumors or unverified messages, and refrain from spreading unofficial videos or reports. It added that any further developments will be announced through its official channels.
