Qatar Intercepts 5 Ballistic Missiles, Fire Reported in Ras Laffan

DOHA, March 18: The Ministry of Defense of Qatar announced that the country was targeted by five ballistic missiles launched from Iran on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, Qatari air defence systems successfully intercepted four of the missiles, while one struck Ras Laffan Industrial City, causing a fire at the site.

Civil Defense teams were immediately deployed and are working to contain the blaze. Authorities did not report any casualties at the time of the announcement.
