DOHA, July 17: Qatar has strongly condemned the latest Iranian attacks targeting its territory as well as the territories of Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan, describing them as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the affected countries.

In a statement issued Friday, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks constituted a clear breach of international law, the United Nations Charter and the principles of good neighborliness.

The ministry warned that the continued attacks represent a dangerous escalation that could undermine regional security and complicate ongoing political and diplomatic efforts aimed at containing the crisis. It held Iran fully responsible under international law for the attacks and their consequences.

Qatar also affirmed that it reserves the right to respond in accordance with international law and Article 51 of the UN Charter, and to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, national security, territorial integrity and citizens.

The statement reiterated Qatar's full solidarity with Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan, expressing support for all legitimate measures taken by the three countries to safeguard their sovereignty and security.

The ministry called for an immediate and complete halt to all military operations and attacks that threaten regional stability, urging all parties to avoid further escalation and return to dialogue, negotiations and diplomatic efforts to restore peace and security in the region.
